I was born in Bayonne NJ but trekked to Massachusetts in the early 80s. I
started my boating career paddling my Grandfather's Grumman canoe, on a lake in
Pennsylvania. Somewhere in my preteen years I learned to
sail an old Sunfish on another lake in Connecticut. My ocean sailing
started around age 14, on a Kell's 26. At that time I took the Coastguard
Sailing and Seamanship course. I was hooked.
Over the years I've been employed as a textile worker, medical device
machinist, lawn care specialist, corrugated box maker, rock drummer,
boat carpenter, and furniture maker.
I bought my first boat around 1998. An Irwin 32.5. I worked on it a lot
but, as sometimes happens, it became someone else's project eventually.
Lynne and I married in 2001 and purchased Iris in 2003. -B
