Exterior Details
- Bottom was
stripped and epoxy barriercoated in 2006.
- Center board and
pin were replaced by Marshall Marine 2006
- New pintels,
gudgeons and rudder steps 2006. Rudder rebuilt and reglassed.
- Topsides are
Interrlux White and Deck is Sundown Buff (as are the spars)
- Cleats are bronze.
There is a bronze hawse pipe (2006) for the anchor rode. On the cabin
top is a bronze Davis mushroom vent (2007).
- Cockpit seats and
combings are of Spanish Cedar.
- Cockpit
floorboards are Cypress
- Caprail and other
details are teak
- There is a custom
Spanish cedar hatch in the cockpit which opens up to a storage area down
in the bilge. A great place to store the anchor, beer, etc.
- Most exterior
woodwork is varnished. The exception being the rubrail which is painted
for ease of maintenance and floor boards (which are oiled).
- Running lights are
bronze Perkos 2006.
Interior
- Interior woodwork
is ash.
- Forward is an
opening port that is original to the boat. There are 4 more fixed ports
with new plexiglass.
- As was previously
stated, the cushions were replaced in 2006. There is a matching Beige
curtain covering the anchor locker.
- All wiring was
replaced. There is a new electrical panel and 2 interior lights.

Iris was 100%
rebuilt from 2003 to 2006. The entire cockpit sole was replaced along
with all frames and most of the main bulkhead. Though she is an old
boat she is in like new condition, and shines!

Iris is a great boat to sail and
has gotten us through a few rough patches. She’s got to be one of the
most seaworthy 18’ boats ever made. She’s ready for some new
adventures!
